Maybeth Morales-Davis is a visionary nonprofit leader with over 20 years of experience transforming missions into measurable impact. Maybeth believes in the power of storytelling and collaboration, ensuring that nonprofits have the tools they need to disrupt, innovate, and create sustainable change. As the Deputy Director of NEST, a community development agency, Maybeth has spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives that have redefined what’s possible for nonprofits.
In 2023, she secured $1,000,000 in funding for NEST, delivering immediate financial assistance to programs serving communities disproportionately harmed by cannabis prohibition and enforcement. That same year, she led NEST’s complete rebrand—from a new name and logo to a fully redesigned website and launch strategy—ensuring the organization’s identity reflected its bold mission and values.
For the past ten years, Maybeth has been the driving force behind NEST’s fundraising, marketing, communications, and social media strategies, consistently delivering results that amplify impact and build trust. Beyond her operational expertise, Maybeth is a passionate advocate and thought leader. Her perspectives on nonprofit innovation, activism, and leadership have been showcased through op-eds, statewide events, and guest appearances on radio shows. Her skill in connecting vision to action has made her a sought-after collaborator in community empowerment initiatives.
Maybeth’s commitment to building equity extends into her community leadership. She co-founded It’s Time Waterbury, a grassroots organization providing residents with tools and training for civic engagement, and helped establish The People’s Place, a platform fostering capacity-building and fiscal sponsorship for emerging leaders and changemakers.
As the Founder and Principal of Project Relatable, Maybeth brings her extensive experience, fearless creativity, and unwavering belief in collaboration to help nonprofits thrive. She equips organizations with the strategies, systems, and narratives they need to secure resources, inspire action, and create lasting impact.
Outside of her professional life, Maybeth is an artist, traveler, and proud mom. Deeply connected to her Puerto Rican heritage, she finds joy in exploring culture and creating mixed-media art inspired by life’s vibrancy.
